The Multicultural Greek Council is a collective of one sorority and fraternity that are members of the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations.

The purpose of the Â鶹´«Ã½ Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is to serve as a governing body, to create and maintain high standards in the life of culturally-based fraternities and sororities by addressing, coordinating and developing strategic programming to unify organizations involved in MGC. Promote higher education, provide community services, enhance leadership and to serve as a liaison between the MGC, other FSL Councils (IFC, NPHC & PHC), the university student body and administration, thereby improving campus life.

How to Join a MGC Fraternity or Sorority

Each culturally based fraternity and sorority brings in new members at various times of the year through a process called Membership Intake. Each MGC organization has different requirements for membership, and each conducts intake on its own schedule. Some organizations conduct intake each semester; others do so only once a year. Organizations conducting Membership Intake may host a meeting in which criteria for membership is explained.

In partnership with the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), at the beginning of both fall and spring semester, a general information session is held. This event is called Meet the Greeks and it is an opportunity for students to learn about each active organization, ask questions, and interact with chapter members.

Requirements to Join a MGC Organization

Each Multicultural Greek Council organization has its own requirements set by their national organization and Â鶹´«Ã½ chapter. Please contact the Â鶹´«Ã½ chapter that you are interested in to find out their requirements.
