Academic Integrity At Â鶹´«Ã½
Â鶹´«Ã½ is committed to students' personal and academic success. In order to achieve this vision, students, faculty, and staff work together to create an environment that provides the best opportunity for academic inquiry and learning. All students must be honest and forthright in their academic studies. Your work in this course and classroom behavior must align with the expectations outlined in the Code of Student Conduct, which can be found at . The following behaviors along with classroom disruptions violate this policy, corrupt the educational process, and will not be tolerated.
Cheating: Using unauthorized assistance, materials, study aids, or other information in any academic exercise.
±Ê±ô²¹²µ¾±²¹°ù¾±²õ³¾:ÌýUsing someone else's language, ideas, or other original material without acknowledging its source in any academic exercise.
¹ó²¹²ú°ù¾±³¦²¹³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô:ÌýInventing, altering or falsifying any data, citation or information in any academic exercise.
Facilitation:Â Helping another student commit, or attempt to commit, any Academic Integrity violation, or failure to report suspected Academic Integrity violations to a faculty member.
Academic dishonesty will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct & Academic Integrity and may result in sanctions up to and including expulsion from the University.
Option A: Voluntary Resolution
Incident resolved between faculty and student
- The faculty meets with the student, explains the alleged violation and proposes sanctions
- The student acknowledges the violation
- The student accepts the proposed sanctions
- The faculty and the student sign the Academic Integrity Violation Report Form
- Form and referral materials forwarded to OSCAI
Option B: Hearing
Incident referred directly to OSCAI and a hearing takes place
Appropriate in the following situations:
- The severity of the alleged violation warrants a response greater than a grade sanction
- The student denies the allegation(s)
- The student does not agree to faculty-proposed sanctions

Ask Before You Sign
Students are not expected to agree/disagree with an academic integrity resolution at the time that the alleged violation is made known to them and sanctions are proposed. Reporting Academic Dishonesty
Should you discover evidence of Academic Dishonesty, you are encouraged to report it your professor so they can file a report with the Office of Student Conduct & Academic Integrity.
Cases Involving Graduate Students
Graduate students who have been found responsible for committing an academic integrity violation, are normally reviewed for suspension or expulsion, even for a first violation.
