Student Organizations
ALA Student Organization
The American Library Association Student Chapter of the Library and Information Studies Program at Â鶹´«Ã½ (ALA@Â鶹´«Ã½) is dedicated to the educational, professional, service, and social enrichment of the students of the School Library Program. Membership in ALA@Â鶹´«Ã½ is free, and American Library Association (ALA) membership, while not required, is encouraged. Officers consist of Library and Information Studies students. The group's focus is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information about issues, trends and opportunities in the profession and to develop skills and relationships that will enable students to have a creative impact on the profession.

Graduate assistantships are often available for full-time students. A full-time student must register for 9 credit hours in the fall and spring and 6 credit hours in the summer (some graduate assistants do not work during the summer). Please contact the program advisor or Graduate Program Director for more information.
