Faculty Exchange Opportunities

The University of KitakyushuÌýwelcomes every summer an Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty member to travel to Kitakyushu to teach an American society/American culture-related course in English.
- The Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty member will teach 15 classes for a total of 90 minutes each (3 classes per day for 5 days),
- Housing, teaching stipend, and office supplies/course materials will be provided by the University of Kitakyushu.
- Round-trip airfare, visa application fees, and international health insurance will be provided by the Center for Global Engagement
- Miscellaneous costs (bus/train tickets, meals, etc.) outside of the above, will be the responsibility of the faculty member.
- The program is open to full-time faculty members from the School of Arts and Letters. Applications should be submitted to the Office of International Collaborations, but the finalist will be chosen by the University of Kitakyushu.Ìý
The nice thing about Fulbright is that most awards pay for family members to come as long as they stay the entire time. The drawback is there's a lot to anticipate and plan with being away and living out of the country for almost a year. The good news is that it is all doable-at least so far!
