Doctoral students from various universities will tour Â鶹´«Ã½ and learn about faculty positions. Excite the Dream Â鶹´«Ã½ is a program designed for underrepresented scholars who dream of a career in academia. The initiative focuses on bringing potential faculty members to campus and providing these aspiring scholars with essential information and experiences as they prepare for future careers, all with the goal of becoming faculty members. Emphasis is placed on providing comprehensive exposure to the three pillars of faculty appointments: teaching, research, and service.
Scholars are selected by the deans and associate deans and contribute to the long-term goal of increasing awareness of our institution and its scholars. Ongoing support includes maintaining their names and information for future faculty positions. As new opportunities arise, consideration will be given to matching the scholars' research areas with open positions.
While on-campus, scholars will have the opportunity to present their research and areas of interest to the Â鶹´«Ã½ community.  Learn more about the Spring 2024 Excite the Dream Cohort.
