Education Specialist in Counseling

The Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in counseling is designed to further develop and broaden students' knowledge and skills in counseling and to cultivate their capacity for leadership as professionals. The Ed.S. is suitable for master's degree level counselors who wish to earn an additional graduate degree in counseling, or for individuals with master's degrees in related fields who wish to satisfy the academic portion of the state requirements for licensure as a professional counselor and/or as a school counselor.

Educational Specialist in Advanced School Counseling

The Â鶹´«Ã½ Counseling and Human Services Department is excited to offer an Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S.) in Advanced School Counseling. This program is designed for school counselors who wish to further their career, enhance their leadership skills, and strengthen their counseling expertise. Courses include: Advanced Counseling Theory and Practice, Advanced Group Counseling, Multicultural Perspectives in Counselor Education, Supervision, and Research, and Educational Law and Ethics. Learners in this program must possess a master's degree in school counseling. Program courses are offered online and can be applied to the Â鶹´«Ã½ Ph.D. program in Counselor Education and Supervision.
