A message from the Dean
We are incredibly excited about the new Chemistry building under construction on Elkhorn Avenue! This state-of-the-art building will include teaching and research facilities that will enhance the educational experience for our students. Approximately 5,000 Â鶹´«Ã½ students take Chemistry each year in preparation for most STEM-H majors. In our new building they will find undergraduate teaching laboratories, a tutoring/active learning center, cutting edge research laboratories, and faculty offices all under one roof. It's going to be an amazing facility. At Â鶹´«Ã½ we will offer a chemistry education experience that will be rivaled by very few schools in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We are transforming science education at Â鶹´«Ã½ and you can help. Please consider supporting our educational and research mission through philanthropy.
-Â Gail Dodge, Dean of the College of Sciences
