The Women and Gender Equity Center'sÌýLGBTQIA+ Initiatives strives to provide students, faculty, staff, and members of the Hampton Roads area a community where they can be free and confident in expressing their identities.ÌýThe WGECÌýstrives to reduce homophobia, transphobia, and heterosexism in the Â鶹´«Ã½ community through educational and interactive programming, mentorship, and LGBTQIA+Ìýadvocacy.

As(t*)erisk, Â鶹´«Ã½'s Trans* Student Advisory Board, is committed to cultivating a safe and affirming campus environment for community members of all gender identities. The mission of As(t*)erisk is to strengthen and amplify the diverse voices of the Â鶹´«Ã½ trans* student community in their pursuit of equity through advocacy, education and student engagement.
