Opera/Musical Theatre Workshop

Auditions

The audition information for upcoming productions is posted on the vocal area bulletin board in the Diehn Center for the Performing Arts. Contact Cristina Loyola for additional information.

Old Dominion Opera/Musical Theatre Workshop is a quickly growing musical entity with a mission to

educate and entertain. Productions in both the operatic and musical theatre genres, as well as scene programs, will help students to develop additional skills necessary to perform and teach these genres. Regardless of major, all students are challenged to create outstanding productions.

Recent Productions

In Fall 2024, Â鶹´«Ã½ Opera and Musical Theatre Workshop produced Ordinary Days, a contemporary musical that showcased a stunning variety of students, including Voice Performance majors, Music Education majors, Sound Recording Technology majors, and non-music majors in the cast, crew, and production team. Under the direction of Professor Cristina Loyola, this entirely student-run production was received well by Â鶹´«Ã½ and community members alike.
