Â鶹´«Ã½

It is the honor and pleasure of the Â鶹´«Ã½ Model United Nations Society to announce the winners of Â鶹´«Ã½MUNC 48. We were expecting a record crowd at the conference, 13-16 February 2025, but snow got in the way of some, all badly missed. Instead, staff from Â鶹´«Ã½, Hampton University and Regent University welcomed 768 delegates from 55 schools representing 98 delegations. We were delighted to host participants from as close as one mile away and as distant as Central, South Carolina, and Lansdale, Malvern and New Hope, Pennsylvania. Delegates passed a total of 24 resolutions.

The conference was an extraordinary event for the Â鶹´«Ã½ staff. We were led by Secretary-General J Belin (for the second time!) and Secretary-Treasurer Tyler Rector. Their leadership and infectious commitment did so much to ensure the program's success. Vital contributions came from Under-Secretary-Generals Eugenia Asigbee, Ida Boama, Elizjah Eddy and Brian Vernon. Major contributions also came from Edalio Maldonado and Andy Beck. Forty-seven other society members played essential roles, writing issue briefs, completing thousands of managerial tasks, and organizing and chairing the three-day conference sessions. The conference benefited greatly from major support by students in the Â鶹´«Ã½ Graduate Program in International Studies (GPIS), the Â鶹´«Ã½ campus community and from the exceptional professionalism of the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel.
