Ensure that the atmosphere and physical appearance of the LLC is professional and welcoming to all visitors.

Engage students and faculty in the use of resource solutions, including language specific software, online materials, reference materials,TalkAbroad, ImmerseMe, SCOLA, Apps, etc.

Provide administrative support to the Director, including completion of Annual Report, enrollment tallies, special project reports, data entry tasks, and other administrative support.

Complete CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) tutor training and the following certifications: CRLA Level 1, CRLA Advanced Level 2, and CRLA Level 3-Master Tutor.

Tutor students in world languages, including in-person or online, individually or in small groups.

Assist with grant-funded research projects, including virtual reality, telecollaborative conversations, podcasting, 360 virtual tour software, and more.

Contribute to the production of the LLChat Podcast, including hosting episodes to a series, editing and publishing recordings, writing episode descriptions and questions.

Contribute to the design of the LLC website.

Facilitate professional development and student workshops. Administer surveys.

Assist with marketing campaigns. Proctor academic assessments. Inventory materials.

Maintain equipment, including computer stations, headsets, and video cams, and provide light housekeeping duties.

Answer phone and appropriately direct incoming calls.

Pay is minimum wage at $11.00/hour.

Hours convenient for student schedule, may include from 5-12 hours.
- Development of strong customer service and communication skills
- Acquisition or development of professionalism in the workplace
- Development of a variety of pedagogical methodologies for world languages
- Successfully navigate different world language technology platforms and their uses
- Development of community engagement and outreach support strategies
- Must be enrolled at Â鶹´«Ã½ with at least 6-credit hours
- Must be in good academic standing
- Knowledge of basic computing technologies (preferred)
- Knowledge of a world language (preferred)
- Ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders, including students, faculty, community members, alumni, and administrative offices across campus
- Excellent professional demeanor with good customer service and people skills
- Demonstrate a pleasant and willing attitude
- A proactive approach to work and conflict resolution
- Must be highly organized, disciplined, dependable, punctual, self-motivated, flexible, and a team player
