Welcome back to a new semester at �鶹��ý. At the Center for Faculty Development (CFD), we are planning numerous interesting workshops and events so please check out our semester calendar which is out this week. Some highlights include the Provost’s Spotlight with honoree Professor, Eminent Scholar and SCHEV Outstanding Faculty Award winner Michelle Kelley on February 25, a series of Monthly Meet Up Campus Wide Book Read events running every Monday at noon from February 24 to April 7 and centered on the book “Teaching with AI: A Practical Guide to a New Era of Human Learning,” and workshops or panel discussions on inclusive teaching, Canvas analytics, grant-writing, enhancing student achievement, and tenure and academic freedom.  At the CFD we are faculty focused and live by our motto: “Your classroom: Where every Monarch belongs.” We promote collaboration and support mentoring and career development initiatives.

This spring the CFD has moved to new offices. We are now in Dragas Hall along with the Office of Quality Enhancement Plan Initiatives and the Office of Faculty Diversity and Retention, all divisions of the Office of Academic Affairs. On February 3 from 9-11am, the CFD, OQEPI, and OFDR are hosting an Open House showcasing our new offices. We invite you to come by Dragas 2000, 2101, and 2102 to learn more about faculty resources, meet colleagues new and old, and enjoy a social moment.
