This month, a dozen Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty members are discovering how to open the world to their students through Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL).

The instructors were recently accepted to fill spots in the three-week COIL Foundations workshop offered by the , which serves the State University of New York system.

COIL connects students and faculty in different countries for collaborative projects and discussions as part of their coursework. Instructors team up to design the experience, and students work together on the activities.

Thanks to funding from Â鶹´«Ã½'s Center for Global Engagement and Center for Faculty Development, the faculty participants are experiencing this workshop at no cost.
