How relevant in tenure today? Join us for a three-part series focused on demystifying tenure and its place in the academy. Part 1 begins with “Tenure and Academic Freedom.” This panel discussion and Q & A explores the 1940 American Association of University Professors’ “Statement of Principles on Academic Freedom and Tenure” which continues to be the standard definition of academic freedom in the United States today. Parts 2 and 3 will occur in spring 2025 with discussion of tenure and power and protecting tenure today.
