A new Minor course of studies has been approved for Â鶹´«Ã½ undergraduate students. Open to students of any Major, the Interdisciplinary Minor in Energy Engineering aims to help students develop an understanding of issues related to energy production and use in the 21st century, from a technical as well as social and economic perspective. By including courses from Physics; Oceanography, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences; and Economics along with all disciplines of Engineering, the program promotes an integration of knowledge and understanding from various areas of research as they relate to this critical field.
The Minor is quite flexible, allowing students to tailor their experience to their particular interests while exposing them to different ways of thinking about the challenges of energy engineering in the 21st century.
Students interested in adding this course of studies to their curriculum should contact the program Director, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, for further information and to register for the Minor. Courses already completed prior to official enrollment in the Minor may be applied to the program requirements.
