Smiles, food and good cheer filled Broderick Dining Commons as the President and First Lady Kate Broderick hosted more than 700 at their annual faculty/staff holiday reception on Dec. 18. Guests demonstrated their holiday spirit from the moment they walked in by filling a donation bin with unwrapped socks or toiletries for distribution to homeless individuals in Hampton Roads. A wide variety of hot food and desert options, a prop-filled photobooth offering memory-making fun for many and a door prize raffle made the event a perfect end the year and a delightful way to celebrate the start of the holiday season.
