"HOMEsick," an original work for theatre by 鶹ý alumna Deborah Wallace that explores the myth of the American dream, will make its world premiere at Goode Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10
Produced by 鶹ýRep with support of the Hellenic Studies Endowment, "HOMEsick" performances also are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11-12 and 16-19, with a 2 p.m. show set for Oct. 20. Tickets are available at , or by calling the box office at (757) 683-5305. Box office hours are noon-4 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays (University Theatre), and one hour before each show in the Goode Theatre.
Wallace is an Emmy-nominated writer, director, producer and performer. She has collaborated on the production of more than 40 works for the stage and screen, including the Academy Award-nominated, Emmy-winning documentary film "Gasland." She produced its sequel, "Gasland, Part II" for HBO, winning the Environmental Media Association Award for Best Documentary, Cinema Eye Honors and an Emmy nomination. She produced and co-wrote "Blood on the Mountain," which was released by Netflix and for which she received an Emmy nomination.
Wallace will present a Literary Festival Reading at 1 p.m. Oct. 8 in the University Theatre. Free parking for the reading and the play is available in Garage D, 3rd-5th floors, 1060 W. 45th St.
