Â鶹´«Ã½ alumna Renee Felts has been named the University's assistant vice president for academic initiatives and continuing education.

She currently serves as vice president for institutional advancement and workforce development and executive director of the foundation at Paul D. Camp Community College.

Felts holds a Ph.D. with an emphasis in higher education leadership from Northcentral University. She earned a master's degree from Old Dominion in 1987, a bachelor's degree from Chowan University in 1997, a bachelor's degree from Barton College in 1984 and an associate degree from Chowan in 1982.

"She brings to Â鶹´«Ã½ a strong vision for continuing education and workforce development, considerable experience in community engagement, marketing and fundraising, and commitment to student success," said Austin Agho, provost and vice president for academic affairs.

Felts has also served as dean of occupational/technical programs and professor of information systems technology at Paul D. Camp Community College. She was also an instructor at Chowan University.
