Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty and staff still have time to take advantage of exciting weekly incentives to turn in their pledges to the annual Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC). Donors remain eligible for weekly prizes throughout the campaign. The sooner you give, the more chances you have to win.

Everyone who makes a pledge by Thursday, Nov. 14 will receive two tickets to the Nov. 30th home game. The grand prize drawing of two passes to the University Suite with President John R. Broderick when the Monarchs host the Charlotte 49ers will take place on Friday, Nov. 22.

There are approximately 1,000 other good reasons to donate. That's the number of local, state, national and international organizations that benefit from CVC contributions. For more information about those groups, visit .

In response to feedback from donors, a newly designed website introduces "ePledge," which offers the ease of secure online giving by credit card or payroll deduction.

"We've done away with paper copies because that was something people said was important," said Karen Meier, assistant vice president for community engagement, who chairs the campaign. "This streamlined, paperless process makes giving more efficient, more private and much easier for everyone. Donating on paper is still available to those without online access."

So far, 155 Â鶹´«Ã½ employees have pledged $27,000, 30 percent the University's $90,000 goal.

The campaign ends Dec. 20. The payroll deduction deadline is Dec. 13. When employees give to the CVC, 100% percent of designations go directly to the charity they choose.
