The College of Education and Professional Studies sponsored Diverse Conversations, a meet and greet event with Dr. Narketta Sparkman-Key, director of the Faculty Diversity and Retention Office, on October 9, 2019. The goal of the event was to capture the voices of multicultural faculty and to build relationships. Dr. Narketta Sparkman-Key said, "In my new role as Academic Affairs Director of Faculty Diversity and Retention, I believe it is important to establish a relationship with all faculty and capture the voices of all faculty." This meet and greet is the first of many that Dr. Key is planning in the future. Participants were encouraged to leave suggestions and questions in a box to be addressed in future talks. Approximately 30 individuals attended the event and engaged in dialogue with Dr. Key, along with food and fun.
