Black in Microbiology is a "Vibrant Celebration of Black Microbiologists". It seeks to showcase, celebrate and amplify the contributions of Black microbial scientists. Led by early career scientists, the virtual platform will connect talented scientists, build community, facilitate dialogue, and support our collective work to address disparities and racism in academe, business and government.

Black in Microbiology Week is scheduled for September 28, 2020 - October 4, 2020. It features eminent Black microbiologists, virologists, parasitologists, mycologists, microbiome researchers, women and early career microbial scientists. There are events daily, for schedule.

ASMCUE 2019 Plenary Speaker Dr. Beronda Montgomery is delivering the Keynote talk on September 28.
